Information we may collect from you

You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our sites www.tc-durhamminers.co.uk and www.tc-group.co.uk (our sites) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our service, search for a service, complete the membership application form and when you report a problem with our site. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number.

Updating Your Data

We may, from time to time, engage in data-matching exercises with trusted third parties to ensure that the personal data provided by you to us remains up to date. Data matching involves comparing computer records held by us against other computer records held by another body to see how far they match. This usually involves personal information. Computerised data matching allows us to update our records in the event that any of your personal information changes. Where a match is found it may indicate that there is an inconsistency which requires further investigation. When undertaking a data-matching exercise, the trusted third party is contractually prevented from using any personal information received from us for any purpose other than updating our records (i.e. they may not use information received from us to update their own records).

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Access to Your Records | Individual Rights

In accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have a right to see a copy of the information we hold about you on request.

You also have a right to erasure including retention and disposal, and a right to restrict processing. You may request that your data is removed from all our company systems at any time.

If you wish to see a copy of the information we hold about you please write to the The Database Manager, The TC Branding Group, Unit 13, Jubilee Estate, Foundry Lane, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 5UE or email sales@tc-group.co.uk and we will respond within 28 days. Please note that any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with the details of the information we hold about you. Information requested will be sent to you within 28 days of receiving your request.

If you have registered on one of our sites you can now view, amend or delete information held about you within your account, please log in to your account to view your options.

Data Retention Period

The GDPR Act does not set out any specific minimum or maximum periods for retaining personal data.

We hold company and contact data until we are asked to remove or take any other action in accordance with GDPR by an individual or company, or until it is felt our services are no longer of interest to any individual or company.

We retain personal data relating to customer quotations and orders for historical, statistical or research purposes indefinitely or until it is no longer needed and then deleted.

Previous history of marketing activity is retained unless specific requests are received not to do so.

Notice of Breach of Security

If a security breach causes an unauthorised intrusion into our system appropriate notifications will be made in accordance with GDPR. We will notify you as soon as possible and will report to you the action taken in response to a breach.
